Weekend is almost ending! I am very thankful that we are having a beautiful weekend. The weather outside might not be so friendly which hinders us to go walking this afternoon but we are still grateful about it. I have more time to talk with dear HB for some matters especially on financial ones because we are planning for home improvements this summer. He said that he is thankful that he don’t have any vices like smoking ashton cigars and drinking. He would rather set aside his money in more important things rather than let it flow on vices and you see nothing. I am also thankful that I have a husband like that. I know I am truly blessed with a lot of non-material and material things. We live a simple life but happy life. To celebrate all the blessings we have, I had a toss of a glass of red wine with HB last night. Thank Goodness! I hope you are also having a great weekend!

Before I went grocery shopping yesterday, I watched a certain program in a German television. It was all about young boys and girls who ran away from home in the United States. I can’t remember the exact cities in the US where they interviewed these ran-away kids. Most of these kids landed as street children. Some are in the early age of 12 to 17. I also remember the same thing during my vacation in the Philippines where I saw lots of them on the streets. Some if not most of them got addicted to drugs and alcohol.

This is truly a very sad story. During my visit in Las Vegas last 2008, I also saw the same thing. I can’t imagine that a rich land like the United States have the same problems like in the Philippines. I know that drug addiction is not only a common problem to young and old homeless people but also to the rich and the famous. A few to mention are Danny Gans, an Impressionist and Las Vegas entertainer who died of drug overdose, Marilyn Monroe, an actress which has overdose of barbiturate-based sleeping pills and still a lot more to mention. People who have problems with drug and alcohol addiction needs rapid detox to help them get back to their normal lives. There are a lot of clinics and medical professionals who offers services on rapid detox. Taking for example this clinic in Las Vegas called Rapid Detox Las Vegas who are offering such services. I am also hoping that our ran away young fellows and street children out there will be given preferential attention by the government and their families too.

I would like to offer this bunch of flowers to all good and great women out there. Whether you are a mother, a wife, a daughter or simply a good friend who always do simple but good and noble acts, you are well greeted today. It is time for you to celebrate! May God bless us all! We are done with walking. I had some fun and quality time with my dear HB. It was very cold outside because the cold wind make it colder..wow so much cold in here! I guess it is time to share this beautiful Azalea or Rhododendron flowers. We have some of these kind in our garden but this image was taken during our visit to a garden center last year. I could probably share ours when the spring comes and it flowers again.

This is one of the sights I visited during my vacation in the Philippines. Taoist Temple was built in 1972 and it is located in Beverly Hills Subdivision where most of the rich and the famous people of Cebu live. Taoist Temple is open for viewing to the public for free. During our visit the security guard told us that we are only allowed to stay in the temple for thirty minutes. Silence is also observe in the place and no picture taking is allowed inside the temple where the people pray and lit candles. Here is one of the pictures I took during my visit.

It seems that it’s been a while since I did not share about “Love Notes and Messages” from dear HB. I guess the last time I wrote something about it here was some time in October or November 2009. I won’t write it anymore in German language but will immediately translate it to English because I still want to search for merchant account reseller before I sign-off this afternoon. Here it is;

Weekend is almost here again. For sure the workers who are working until Friday are always happy when weekend comes. It’s finally time to relax or go somewhere. So, what is happening to our home sweet home in the Philippines? We decided to extend a huge terrace around the house facing the ocean. Until now the home improvement is till going on. The sea wall, terrace and the dirty kitchen are still not done. We still need to install a new kitchen sink. I guess it is a good idea so we don’t need to do the dish washing inside our dining room where the small kitchen is also located. We still need some amount to finish all the projects here. At least, the house is already standing and it is already a small paradise for us especially the priceless location. It was a good decision building this place called home.
