Frauenkirche, Church of Our Lady in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany

We always pass this Church every time we visit Nuremberg Castle in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. Sad to say, I was still not able to go inside of this church. I promise that the next time we visit here, I will for sure take a look and lit a candle inside this historical church. Here is a little information I have from Wikipedia about this church.

The Frauenkirche (in English, “Church of Our Lady”) is a church in Nuremberg, Germany. It stands on the eastern side of the main market. An example of brick Gothic architecture, it was built on the initiative of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor between 1352 and 1362. The church contains many sculptures, some of them heavily restored. Numerous works of art from the Middle Ages are kept in the church, such as the so-called Tucher Altar (c. 1440, originally the high altar of the Augustinian church of St. Vitus), and two monuments by Adam Kraft (c. 1498).

Mails for HB

Good evening folks! I am quite happy tonight after watching the football game between FC Bayern and Olympique Lyon. FC Bayern won with a 3:0 goals. That was another interesting game between this two football teams. Anyway back to the main topic. HB always received mails from different banks and financial institutions offering him loan and other forms of credit. One time he already received a check amounting to 5,000 Euros. He only need to sign the agreement and he can immediately have the money. I believed HB have good credit reports. Sad to say, he doesn’t want to take any loans at all now especially that we already paid most of the bank credits we have. We are currently living a simple but financially stable life. As long as we can pay our bills every month, got all the basic things we need, go a little bit sightseeing and shopping and slowly doing some home improvement projects, we are quite happy right now. Thanks goodness that financial matter is quite not our problem at this moment. As long as you don’t spend more than you earn, you are quite good financially. Until now, HB still receives those kind s of mails but we throw it immediately to the trash can. In short, we don’t need it.

My Daily Nourishment

Many of Jesus’ disciples leave Him. This indicates that there has been a real struggle to understand this teaching. It is not just symbolic talk that we are dealing with here. Jesus talks in the present active tense meaning what He is saying “is.” Only a literal understanding of the text with a sacramental twist to that understanding will suffice to hold its true meaning.

John 6:60-69

60 Many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” 61 Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you? 62 What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him. 65 And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.” 66 As a result of this, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. 67 Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”

Daily Readings

Peter works extraordinary miracles in the name of Jesus. Let us pray for a reawakening of the gift of miracles in the Church today so that we will see more of this incredible power God makes available through faith. The gifts of the Spirit are for all people of all time; they were not just given in order to get the Church started. How could God give something so powerful and blessed for only a few generations and not for the rest of history? He gives His all at all times in order that we may be saved and become His disciples.

Acts 9:31-42

31 The church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was at peace. It was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consolation of the Holy Spirit it grew in numbers. 32 As Peter was passing through every region, he went down to the holy ones living in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been confined to bed for eight years, for he was paralyzed. 34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed.” He got up at once. 35 And all the inhabitants of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord. 36 Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated means Dorcas). She was completely occupied with good deeds and almsgiving. 37 Now during those days she fell sick and died, so after washing her, they laid her out in a room upstairs. 38 Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the request, “Please come to us without delay.” 39 So Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they took him to the room upstairs where all the widows came to him weeping and showing him the tunics and cloaks that Dorcas had made while she was with them. 40 Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed. Then he turned to her body and said, “Tabitha, rise up.” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up. 41 He gave her his hand and raised her up, and when he had called the holy ones and the widows, he presented her alive. 42 This became known all over Joppa, and many came to believe in the Lord… kyregma

Banking Experience

I went last Tuesday to the other branch of the bank where we are maintaining our accounts. I am sorry to say that due to the bad customer service I experience with Mr. S in which name I will remain anonymous, I don’t want to go back to that bank anymore. He is just a very unfriendly employee. If not only because of their very good manager, we already transfer all our accounts and insurances to other banks. Mr. Manager heard our conversation and he said that I can go to him for any bank transaction I need. Imagine my private whole life insurance, accident insurance, car insurance and some other insurances are coming from this bank and in return I expected as a customer that a bank employee will also give us a good customer service. I really felt sorry about that but enough is enough. It is not only twice or thrice that he disappoints me. I ended up transferring my savings account to the other bank. I hope that such employee understands customer service better.

Bouquet of Flowers for Earth Day

Do you remember what day today is? Thanks to the power of internet who help me remember about the celebration of Earth Day today. That is also the reason why I am offering this bouquet of flowers as an offering to Mother Earth and Mother Nature. I just hope that we always learn to take care and take awareness of our environment even in just simply ways. I had started it for along time by planting plants and flowers in our garden and many more other ways.
Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970. Earth Day is celebrated in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. Earth Day Network, a group that wishes to become the coordinator of Earth Day globally, asserts that Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth. World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5 in a different nation every year, is the principal United Nations environmental observance. Many communities also celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of environment-related activities. wikipedia

Women Topic

I guess this is not only a topic for women but for men as well. I would like to ask you a question on how many times you wash your hair? I mean do you wash and shampoo it everyday? Does shampooing our hair results to damaging it? When I was young, my Mother told me that I don’t have to wash my hair with shampoo everyday. She said that there is a shampoo for thinning hair but I don’t really need it. If you have to asks me how often do I wash my hair with shampoo, my answer is every other day. Of course I go and take shower everyday but only every other day that I shampoo my hair. I can even remember using coconut oil to my hair when I was young to make it shiny. Now I can see some shampoos with coconut oil in it. It’s time to shampoo my hair today since I did not do it yesterday! See you later again!

John 3:16-21

16 God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. 21 But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.

my reflections
t h i n k : Let us always remember to reflect upon God’s love for us at least once a day so that this knowledge will accompany us every moment of our lives.

Got A shorter Hair Now

Good evening folks! Here I am again for a little update. I hope that you had a great day today. I can’t complain today except the malfunctioning of HB’s laptop. Anything else went great despite having a very busy day. It is also my first time to see a friend this year. She noticed that my hair was shorter. I told her that I need too because I can’t stand the hot weather last time in the Philippines. I even received a compliment from her telling me that I look great with my hair…lol! I guess I am blessed for having a healthy hair. I heard some friends complaining about their hair problems like falling hair, dandruff and gray hair. In today’s world, we can already find hair loss treatment for men and women. You can go to the hair professional or you can also browse online to search for any help regarding your hair problem. I am quite contented with my hair right now but I also miss my very long hair. I know I can grow it back again when I want. More updates later folks! take care everyone!
