Words To Ponder

How’s everyone? I hope that we are all doing good despite of what is happening around the world now, the global crisis as we say. Let’s keep on praying that this will be slowly resolved to make the economy better. I would like to also pray especially to those workers who had lost their jobs that they may find another one soon. Don’t lost hope God always has reasons for everything that happen in our lives. Below are very nice words to ponder. This is a subscribed mail from arcamax.com and before I delete, I just thought of sharing this to you. have a great one to all!

Jesus: Lord and Christ

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Manic Monday #60

Cool questions for week 60…finally had the chance to update this now..here it is!!

Do you screen your phone calls?
Not really! But sometimes, I don’t answer private numbers because these are usually advertisements, lottery or people selling any products, etc…

When was the last time you lost your temper?
I can’t exactly remember…but the worst one was July 2008..what a bad experience about it when a person whom you consider your family will betray you..I never expect it. At least I learned a lot of lessons from it!! The wound is already healed but there is still a scar left in it. guess you know what I mean…cheers!!

When you’re lost, do you ask for directions?
Oh yes! I usually do especially when there is somebody whom I can ask for direction. It happened last Saturday. I already know the place but I don’t exactly know the exact street of the person whom I need to get something. It helped! I also do the same, if somebody will ask me for a direction and if I know it, I am also showing the way. It is a nice feeling if you help even in a very simple way.

Have a great evening to all!!

I Love Shopping

Hello everyone! How was your Saturday? I had a great day today! I met old and new friends once again. It was truly a very happy and memorable day. Some made story telling and jokes which burst everybody to laughter. We also went a bit shopping in Neumarkt. I love shopping but now I have to tighten my belt besides that I really don’t need clothes now or anything else aside from basic needs like food. Sometimes I can’t say that I don’t need to shop especially when I see items that are on Sale, I can’t help myself but go shopping again. I know it is bad habit of mine. Anyway, if you are looking for good deals especially when you go online shopping, buy.com is a place to go! Have a great evening and weekend too!

Today’s Meditation

I am just sharing some nice words to ponder for today. This is a subscribed mail from arcamax. Thanks a lot for this kind words! here it is guys and hope you are enlightened by these inspiring words! Have a great and blessed weekend ahead!

The Salvation of the Lord

Led by the Spirit, he entered the Temple. As the parents of the child Jesus brought him in to carry out the rituals of the Law, Simeon took him into his arms and blessed God:

God, you can now release your servant;
release me in peace as you promised.

With my own eyes I’ve seen your salvation;
it’s now out in the open for everyone to see:
A God-revealing light to the non-Jewish nations,
and of glory for your people Israel.

Jesus’ father and mother were speechless with surprise at these words. Simeon went on to bless them, and said to Mary his mother,

This child marks both the failure and
the recovery of many in Israel,
A figure misunderstood and contradicted–
the pain of a sword-thrust through you–
But the rejection will force honesty,
as God reveals who they really are.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Are you familiar with St. Patrick? I read a newspaper last weekend about St. Patrick’s Celebration in Munich, Germany. They will be having a parade today to commemorate this celebration. For those who are not familiar with St. Patrick, here is a little information about him.

Saint Patrick’s Day (Irish: Lá ’le Pádraig or Lá Fhéile Pádraig), colloquially St. Paddy’s Day or simply Paddy’s Day, is an annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick (circa AD 385–461), one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17.

The day is the national holiday of Ireland. It is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland and Montserrat. In Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand, it is widely celebrated but is not an official holiday.

St. Patrick’s feast day was placed on the universal liturgical calendar in the Catholic Church due to the influence of the Waterford-born Franciscan scholar Luke Wadding[2] in the early part of the 17th century, although the feast day was celebrated in the local Irish church from a much earlier date. St. Patrick’s Day is a holy day of obligation for Roman Catholics in Ireland. The feast day usually falls during Lent; if it falls on a Friday of Lent (unless it is Good Friday), the obligation to abstain from eating meat can be lifted by the local bishop. The church calendar avoids the observance of saints’ feasts during certain solemnities, moving the saint’s day to a time outside those periods. St. Patricks Day is very occasionally affected by this requirement. Thus when March 17 falls during Holy Week, as in 1940 when St. Patrick’s Day was observed on April 3 in order to avoid it coinciding with Palm Sunday, and again in 2008, having been observed on 15 March.

Manic Monday #159

Another good questions!!

Are you a saver or spender?
Actually I can be both. The bad thing with me..when I see items that are on sale and with very low and reasonable prices, I can’t stop myself from not buying it especially if I like it so much… or maybe buying a certain thing that I badly needed, I can be a spender then..If I have money on my pocket, I can be a one day millionaire..hehehe…I can be a good saver too! if there are some future plans where I need money like for vacation or some investment which I just did last week, I can save money up to the last centavo..sounds not bad!! I am hoping and trying to be a better saver.

Do you prefer to walk around barefoot in your home? Socks? Shoes?
Honestly I am a sock enthusiast! I always wear socks even if I am at home especially during winter in Germany. When I am in the Philippines, I also wear socks sometimes..it depends. I love colorful socks though and I have a lot of it. I don’t wear shoes at home but only slipper or a sandal.

Do you talk to yourself?
Good question! huh! I don’t know how many people talk to themselves. If there are a lot out there, I am one of them..wink! Oh yeah, I talk to myself sometimes but not all the times..like asking myself like these; I’ll buy it or not?, Am I going or not?, Is this good or not?, good or bad?…

I enjoyed participating to Manic Monday!! hope you too!!

Planning to Go Home for Vacation

I am looking for that day when I can step by again in my fatherland, Philippines. First of all, I wish you all a very great and nice weekend! I am thankful that I am feeling better tonight. I felt terrible again since Thursday evening until today in the afternoon. I had some migraine attack again. I don’t know if it is caused by the drastic changes in weather.

Back to my vacation plan back home. I still don’t know the exact date but anytime this year, I will surely go home. I just need to recharge some energy by seeing my family, friends, relatives or simply see the blue sky and sea around my Mother’s province where our home stood now. I also want to enjoy the sea breeze there. For sure, I will be bringing a lot of luggage again. I also found some good deals on luggage online at Luggage Base. Imagine a 5 piece set Samsonite luggage that originally cost $500.00 and it is now $126.90. Amazing price! Do you need some luggage too? I guess you know now where to go! Philippines I am coming soon!
