Great Site for Christmas Recipes

For sure my husband will love this site. I honestly tell you guys that I can bake but my husband do it better. Germans love baking especially during Christmas. I remember my first Christmas here in Europe wherein my husband baked different kinds of cookies and cakes. We always served different cookies and cakes during Christmas dinner. But during the last two years, my husband don’t do it anymore. I only bought ready made cookies and pastries for Christmas besides that I also cook different foods. Until now I am still thinking what food to prepare during Christmas dinner. I want to try a new recipe too. I mean something that I have not try before.

I finally found the answer at Celebrations. They provide different party menus and ideas for any special occasions. For now I just want some Christmas recipe ideas. I am quite sure that my husband will also love their Christmas Candy Recipes here. He still have time to bake fresh cookies, pastries and cakes for Christmas. He also mentioned it to me a few days ago that he will bake some before Christmas comes. The recipes provided by Celebrations are just great. My husband will surely have more ideas on his cookies and candy recipes. I also found the Cheesy Christmas Wreath..this is simply yummy!! Birds Don’t Need to Worry

copyright photo by: Euroangel
photo I took at the Garden near Birmingham Palace in England

Why do birds don’t have to worry about anything? I guess because they just wait of whatever foods are given to them by nature or by human beings. And why we human beings need to worry about a lot of things? Or is it only cause by our own thinking to worry a lot of things when we really don’t need to worry about it? It sounds complicated but I believed so. Human beings are just not contented of what they have. I admit I am one of those which keeps me thinking sometimes why we are like that. I just hope that I can have that feeling of contentment all the time. What is the most important thing is that we are happy. ..Right guys? enjoy your evening!!

Wishing for A New Guest Bed

A few weeks ago, I mentioned in one of my sites that we had two vacant rooms already. I am currently using the smaller room as my small working room. I transferred my computer here. A sofa bed is also inside so that when I feel a bit tired, I can simply relax or sit down on it. I decorated the walls with some picture frames. On weekend I am planning to buy again two book shelves which I found today in a flyer. It is on sale and saving some bucks would be great already. I bought one last weekend and I want two other more.

Speaking about the second bigger room, it will be a guest room now. We finally have a a room for guests. As we had a visitor last time, we let them slept on the living room on a sofa bed which I find very embarrassing for visitors. Sorry guys but now we have one already! I guess we need new guest beds for both rooms. I found some very nice ones at Time 4 Sleep. They simply have variety of beds to choose from. I love most especially The Bali style. I simply love its style and design! The best thing with it, is that you can use it also as storage. You can simply lift up the bed and put it down again. ..and there you go!! have a big room underneath for storage of beddings and other seasonal stuffs.

Talking about our bed in our sleeping room? I guess, we also need a new one. Bed is just a place where you can relax and have a beautiful good night sleep. The more comfortable your bed is, the better you can sleep. Due to my back problems, I really need a better one. Hopefully next year. You need one too? start moving your mouse!! Good night folks!! see you tomorrow!!

Tiring Day!

I just sit down now in my PC. I was watching some funny videos on television with my husband after a long afternoon of staying in the kitchen. I cooked a lot this afternoon. Imagine a friend fish, paksiw fish, pork snitzel and cooked some rice. I also boiled some potatoes and it took me around 1 and half hours to peel them all. It is my first time to make a potato salad with my own ingredients. I guess it taste good because I also ate some for dinner. I should not eat dinner anymore but I can’t resist the potato salad and snitzel which are perfect match for eating. We eat it sometimes in the German restaurant and my husband love it very much. Finally around 9pm this evening, I finished cleaning the messy kitchen. After watching the funny videos, here I am again. It was a tiring but satisfying day. I don’t waste my time at home but having quality time always even I am alone. How did you spend your day? Did you enjoy being alone at home? yes I am!! It is just how you manage to do some things and enjoy doing it. Cheers folks!!

A New You

Are you already contented of what you have? Do you love yourself and your body as well? Nowadays it is already very possible to have a new you. With the modern cosmetic technology that is being introduced from time to time, making a new you is already easy. During my vacation last time in England, I watched a TV program in TFC about a model who still want to be more beautiful. I had seen her in television and I see that she is really beautiful and sexy. What can you expect of a model anyway? But due to no contentment of her body especially her breast she had it enlarged. In short she had a breast augmentation.

Nowadays there are a lot of Cosmetic Surgeries available. Some of these include breast enlargement, liposuction, facial surgery, body reshaping and even a lot more. The ones that are so familiar with me is the breast enlargement and liposuction. It doesn’t mean that I already have those cosmetic surgeries Talking especially about breast enlargement, I know some friends who are interested about this. I even know some friends who had already performed this surgery. I am lucky and thankful that I am gifted with a nice breast. I am using 80C till 85C now and I believed it is enough for me. I am already contented and happy with myself and my body so I guess I really don’t need those stuffs. If ever you are interested to have one, it’s your decision.

These days you can also search in the internet about sites that offer cosmetic surgery. One of them is MYA which is based in UK. I just visited their site now. Their services don’t only include in making a new you but they also offer financing programs and packages which made them better than others. It’s up to you to decide. It is your choice anyway. Whatever things that make you happy, I would say “Go for it”. Have a great day!!

WW: Cathedral

The historical Cathedral in Birmingham. I took this photo personally during my three weeks vacation in England. I passed this Cathedral a lot of times already. I just don’t have the chance to go inside. I guess there is also an entrance in going inside as what my friend told me.

Felt So Sad of a 13 years old boy who Committed Suicide.

I just feel so sad today after reading in the newspaper of a young boy who committed suicide. Imagine at the age of thirteen, he committed suicide. He was found inside his closet and believed to hang himself. I knew it since last Friday because my husband told me about it. I had seen this boy whom I will call for short Andre two years ago in the German American Volksfest here in Hohenfels. . And I always see his picture everytime I visit my dentist. Yes this boy was the son of my dentist. He got a very kind and wonderful father and I believed a wonderful family too. I really can’t imagine how he did that or what are the reasons why he ended his life. But whatever reasons why he did that, I just pray for the repose of his soul and may he rest in peace and join our Creator now.

He is young, very good looking boy, and helpful according to his classmates and schoolmate. Here is a short message from his friends and classmates according to a German Newspaper in our place.

Wir vermissen unseren guten Freund
Andre
der uns immer zum Lachen brachte und sehr hilfsbereit war.
Auch wenn Dein Platz in unserer Klasse leer bleibt,
wirst Du immer in unserem Herzen sein!

Deine Freunden and Klassenkameraden

I will try to translate it in English so that you can understand it better. here it is;

We miss our good friend
Andre
who always bring laughter and was also very helpful.
Even when your seat in our class is empty now,
you will always be in our hearts.

From your friends and classmates

Before I write this post, I was watching in Frontal 21, a ZDF German TV program that featured tonight about medicine or tablets for anti-depression but give side effects such as risk to suicide. Some tablets that are featured are Prozac and Strattera which are manufactured by Lilly from the United States and Zoloft from Pfizer. The Strattera which are taken by 3.5 million children around the world including Germany. Below are the following URLs of the ZDF TV program which I watched tonight in the television and also search it in the interent. This is in German and I suggest that you better search these tablets in Google or yahoo or whatever search engines, so that you will know exactly what are its side effects.

I am just sharing this to all of you for you to be aware of the side effects of these products. Before you take these tablets, please think of it a thousand times. I just don’t exactly know if Andre had taken one kind of these medicines before. I hope not! because I just really can’t believe that this happened to him.

I know life is not perfect. There is always ups and downs. I was there. I know how it feels that sometimes you get really confuse why such bad things happened. As for me, I just keep on asking for help from Him though prayer. I know that without him this world is nothing. Don’t lose hope! Keep praying! ..that is only our best defense!

Lastly I would like to extend my deepest condolence to Andre’s family. Wherever he is now, I hope and pray that he rest now in peace with the Lord.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception

I could still remember my school days before wherein we always celebrate the Feast of Immaculate Conception. As far as I can remember, I am always happy when this day comes..first reason, we don’t have a class…second we only need to attend a Mass..third we have some games and activities in school which means fun for me during those days.. Having attended Notre Dame Schools back home from high school to College, I really extend my thanks and gratitude to my mentors and teachers who had helped me mold of what I am now. Respect to all of you! I might not grew up perfectly but at least, the values and teachings that these great people had imparted to me are still there and always reminds me to do whatever things I need to do and if possible always do the right thing. I could even remember one teacher who said, “Do whatever things you want to do, as long as you do it the right way”. I know I am not perfect and will never be perfect at all, the most important thing which I believed is that, I am always trying my best to do whatever is good for me especially to my family and I hope to my friends too and people around me. I know I can’t always make people happy but at least I am trying…What I just keep on hoping and praying is that, I hope that I will be given more patience, passion, calmness and most of all the spirit of forgiveness. I will try and try and try..

So what is really Feast of the Immaculate Conception is all about..before I will end this personal post..Please visit this site, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immaculate_Conception for more info about this topic.

The Immaculate Conception is, according to Roman Catholic dogma, the conception of the Virgin Mary without any stain (“macula” in Latin) of original sin. It is sometimes also called the Immaculata, particularly in artistic contexts. The dogma thus says that, from the first moment of her existence, she was preserved by God from the lack of sanctifying grace that afflicts mankind, and that she was instead filled with divine grace. It is further believed that she lived a life completely free from sin. Her immaculate conception in the womb of her mother, by sexual intercourse, should not be confused with the doctrine of the virginal conception of her son Jesus.

The feast of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated on 8 December, was established as a universal feast in 1476 by Pope Sixtus IV. He did not define the doctrine as a dogma, thus leaving Roman Catholics freedom to believe in it or not without being accused of heresy; this freedom was reiterated by the Council of Trent. The existence of the feast was a strong indication of the Church’s belief in the Immaculate Conception, even before its 19th century definition as a dogma.

In the Roman Catholic Church, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a Holy Day of Obligation, except where conferences of bishops have decided, with the approval of the Holy See, not to maintain it as such. It is a public holiday in some countries where Roman Catholicism is predominant.

Fear Not!

As human beings we always have fear. I even have a lot of fear too. But sometimes due to our strong faith and belief in God, the fear that we feel are sometimes overshadowed with strength and braveness. I honestly admit that I have a lot of fears too. I just hope and pray that my fears and all our fears will be removed by our strong faith and trust in the Lord..have a great week to all!!…please read these very nice words about fear which was forwarded to my email by arcamax.com….thanks for sharing these beautiful verses..

Fear Not!

He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

Psalm 91:4-6 NIV

Conversation With A Friend

I had a great conversation with a friend last night. She gave birth to a very cute baby boy last June of this year. The last time we saw them was during the baby’s baptismal. He looks really very cute which make me feels excited of having a baby too. I am not in a hurry but if it is God’s will, why not! My friend also mentioned about her baby which she sometimes have a problem about colic, reflux and gas. Colic in babies are sometimes very difficult. I even heard sometimes while we were talking over the phone about her baby cried and screamed so loud. I felt sad about it.

I guess her baby needs some gripe water to cure this kind of problem. She also asked me sometimes about problems and situation regarding babies but I told her that I still don’t have a baby. I guess the last time I took care of babies was about twenty years ago. I would better suggest to her to watch a PBS Video at Colic Calm. I believed this is a great site for her so that she can learn more about taking care of babies and handling the problems and difficulties that babies encounter everyday.

I hope to see my friend tomorrow in a party. Take care guys and don’t forget to enjoy your weekend.
