Manic Monday #166

We’re having cool questions for today’s Manic Monday. I hope I’m not late…but I would always say, “Better Late Than Never”. Hope you all have a happy Monday! take care folks! here are my question and answer portion. Feel free to also join Manic Monday by clicking the logo!

*How old were you when you learned to tie your shoes?
This is quite interesting!..Honestly I don’t exactly remember how old I am to learn how to tie my shoes. If I am not mistaken during my elementary grades…but don’t remember exactly because I always wear sleepers during those times.

* *Have you ever snooped in somebody else’s medicine cabinet?
As far as I cam remember, I have not done it yet. I don’t really open stuffs or cabinet of anybody. Maybe in the kitchen when I help friends cooking something but not someone’s medicine cabinet.

* *Who do you think you are? *
I guess this is the most interesting question of all! To answer this question fairly I can say that I am only a traveler in this world. I always try my best to live life to the fullest..trying to enjoy whatever life has to offer…Remember the saying “Life is too short”? that is the reason why we have to enjoy even the simplest thing that truly make man happy….. I can also say that I am nobody but I am proud of who I am. Lastly, I only don’t think but I believed that I am created in God’s image and likeness and I am thankful and honored for that..

Have A Blessed Day To All Mothers

“Let’s praise the Lord for mothers who not only care for their children physically but also nurture them spiritually. Mothers like that are indispensable.”
Herb Vander Lugt

Such great words from the Author. That is the reason why I would like to congratulate all Mothers who have done their best in taking care of their children not only physically but spiritually as a whole! You’re are all great heroes!
To my dear Mother, thanks a lot for everything!

I love you Mamang!

God has conferred on motherhood a true nobility,
and she who gladly fills that role
can shape man’s destiny.
D. De Haan

thanks to Joy for greeting me with the above flower….even though I’m still not a mother..that’s why I am also passing it especially to all loving Mothers in the whole world. God bless you always!

It’s TGIF Again!

Time now is running so fast. We are almost in the middle of the year 2009. I hope that the past months are better ones for everyone especially that most countries around the world are experiencing economic and financial crisis. It’s TGIF again and I know a lot of young people might be having fun now. Some might be going to the disco, spend time with friends, watch movie or simply spend time with their family. I rather spend it at home since outside is raining again. I am presently hearing the news over the television while writing this post to get updated with current events especially in Germany. I also had a great time with my husband during our dinner while conversing different topics. It was good day today..an easy but busy day for me! How about you? I wish everyone a lovely evening and I wish you to a safe and happy weekend. Before I sign-off tonight, I also need to take a look at diet pill reviews. Nods and Shakes: Do You Wonder Why?

This is a subscribed email I got from Mountainwings.com. I just can’t delete this without sharing it to all of you. This is especially true if you don’t know the reason why we now and shake our head. Find out more by reading! Have a blessed Monday!

Nods and Shakes
================

Have you ever wondered where the universal gesture of nodding your head up and down to mean “Yes” and shaking it from side to side to mean “No” came from?

No matter what language you speak, country you travel to, religion you practice, race you claim, your social status, educational achievement, or economic status, you will likely nod or shake your head to mean “Yes” or “No”.

Why?
The theory illustrates how early habits are formed and that some things are intrinsic to all humans.

Watch a newborn baby. Watch the baby when it’s hungry.

As the baby seeks its mother’s breast, the head nods up and down searching for the source of nourishment.

When baby finds the breast, it latches on and fills up.
The action calms the baby and calms the mother.
Ask any woman who has breast-fed a baby.
There is little else more soothing for them both.

Look at the same baby after it’s full and the mother tries to push the breast into the baby’s face.
The baby shakes it’s head from side to side telling mama that it’s full and doesn’t want any more milk or comfort from the breast. The baby doesn’t want any milk or comfort, and it won’t give mama any comfort.

That’s one theory of where nodding and shaking came from.
Interesting isn’t it?
Notice another thing.
Nod and you have a tendency to smile.
Shake your head and you have a tendency to frown.
Try it now and see.
Warmth and comfort given in pure love always brings a smile.

“Refusing warmth and comfort given in love always brings a frown sooner or later.
The next time you nod or shake. . .
Think about that.
It gives the milk of human kindness a whole new meaning.”

Monday is here again and I am playing today..click the logo and join for free! have a great and blessed Monday!

Which household chore do you dislike the most?
I love doing household chores of any kind..cleaning, washing, cooking, gardening, sewing, etc. but what I dislike is ironing. Sorry guys, I just don’t like it. It’s my husband who iron if he see that my clothes look so crumpled.

What’s the best museum you’ve ever visited?
I have been to a lot of museum in Europe and I am still planning to visit more next time. The best one so far is the Louvre Museum in Paris, France..that was a very interesting and unforgettable experience seeing famous work of arts from all over the world.

It’s Star Wars Day today. I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars movies. What “common” movies haven’t you seen?
I have not seen Star Wars for some months now…life is so busy that sometimes I don’t have the time to watch movies..hehehe!

Time to Enjoy

Sometimes there are sad and lonely times in our lives. Sometimes there are also times to enjoy and have fun. As what my husband always say that, “After The Rain Comes Sunshine”. I always believed in this saying and I will always do. Just last week there are problems arise but we also find a solution for it. I just keep on praying that my husband will not have knee operation this time. I hope that the injections will miraculously work for him.

After all these trials and problems, comes always the sunny days. It started again last weekend as we went to the German American Festival in our place. I had fun being with friends especially last Saturday. It was a great and happy moment spending time with good friends again. As usual, clicking the camera is always present. But I got a problem last time because my sd cards are already full. I think I need new sd memory cards for my Canon Powershot and Samsung cameras to get more pictures in the next escapades. I am also sharing some photos from the festival.have fun viewing guys!

Powerful Words

Do you feel very weak sometimes and there is nowhere to go to ask for help? Are you feeling that you are carrying the world upon your shoulders and there is nobody to care? These are very powerful words if you only believe in it. I can say Yes I do! Remember have faith also! have a blessed evening to all!

Trust God

Even when you feel weak and powerless…

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NIV

But as for me, I would seek God,
And I would place my cause before God;

Who does great and unsearchable things,
Wonders without number.

He gives rain on the earth
And sends water on the fields,

So that He sets on high those who are lowly,
And those who mourn are lifted to safety.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God:

and will look up.

WW: St. Michael Church in Kallmuenz, Germany

The beautiful Church of St. Michael at Kallmuenz, Germany. See how the ceiling was beautifully designed especially the altar. This is a small but very amazing Church. This is one thing I love about Germany, the historical Churches and Cathedrals.
