Manic Tuesday

How are you doing? I hope you had a great one today. I am feeling very better after having a headache today. Such a manic Tuesday. I should have a lot of things to do offline and online but my power can’t do everything. At least, I did accomplished some household chores today. I was away gallivanting the whole weekend and some things were left undone. I don’t have a boss anyway and I can do the job anytime I want. Included in my errands is searching what is p90x. This is the first time I heard about this word and I know for sure, once I search it online I will find what it is. Thanks to the help of search machines like google, yahoo, bing and others where we can easily find anything online. More updates to come here and in my other sites. Have a wonderful evening!

Thank you Lord
for all the blessings and the graces.
For all the good things in life.
For all the trials and predicaments

Problem with Acne

It’s been a long time since I did not paid a visit to my dermatologist. I believed the last one was in 2006 when I was still having an acne therapy. Having a problem on acne, also known as acne vulgaris can sometimes be very difficult especially if you don’t find the right treatment. The best acne treatment you can have is by consulting the experts like the dermatologists. They know the best treatment for your acne problem. You can also find a lot of helpful tips and information online to help you get rid of your acne problems.

Don’t you know that there are also several different types of acne? To name a few are tar acne, halogen acne, pomade acne, tropical acne, oil acne, blackheads and a lot more.

I am thankful that my biggest acne problem is over! Have a lovely weekend to all!

Just The Half

I guess I will be staying longer tonight. I have a lot of things to do plus I will be browsing for train tickets for some friends who will be visiting next month. I also would like to share something about a friend whom I did not see for around four years. I was surprised how she looks now. She has truly lose weight after all those years. I was asking her some questions how did she did that. I also would like to know what is the best diet pill thinking that she might probably using one. We had a great time seeing each other last month and I am very happy about her. She serves as an inspiration for me to also lose my extra pounds. Finally, she revealed her secret of losing weight. She told me, “Just the half”. I did not get the clue for the first time but later I finally discovered it. “Just eat the half and for sure you’ll lose extra weight and fat”. I am slowly trying it.

Inspirational Readings- Galatians 3:7-14

Paul wants to contrast two understandings: one based on obedience to the law that he sees as based in what we can achieve on our own strength and the second based on faith and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It is the second way that he advocates as the correct way to understand the life of a Christian. We cannot save ourselves; it is only by faith in Christ and then living our lives under the power and grace of the Holy Spirit that we will be saved.

Galatians 3:7-14

7 Brothers and sisters: Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture, which saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold the good news to Abraham, saying, “Through you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 Consequently, those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham who had faith. 10 For all who depend on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not persevere in doing all the things written in the book of the law.” 11 And that no one is justified before God by the law is clear, for “the one who is righteous by faith will live.” 12 But the law does not depend on faith; rather, “the one who does these things will live by them.” 13 Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree,” 14 that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Kirchweih Celebration

Monday is almost over again. I had a quite busy day today while hubby went to the Kirchweih celebration in our place. Anyway, for those who don’t know what does Kirchweih means, it is a German word which means a church consecration festival. It is also like a Patronal festival. Hubby said he had fun watching the little show they had in Markplatz, located near the church.

Hubby mentioned that he saw some ladies wearing traditional sexy costumes like what you see in the image here. I was not able to go with him watching the said festival because I did a lot of work offline. I will probably see it again next year. Good evening to all.

Very Nice Reflection

This is a very nice reflection of ourselves. Read first the verses Job 1:6-22 in my previous post to have more insights in relation to the beautiful sharing below.

You Are the One

Let me share with you this encouraging story forwarded to me.
One day the employees of a large company returned from their lunch break and were greeted with a sign on the front door that said: “Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym.”

Everyone was sad to hear that one of their colleagues had died, but after a while they started getting curious as to who this person might be.

The excitement grew as the employees arrived at the gym to pay their last respects. One by one, the employees got closer to the coffin and when they looked inside it, they suddenly became speechless. They stood over the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: “There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU.”

Today we read from the book of Job how he was tested by the devil. Satan dared him that if his circumstances change, surely he would no longer be the good old Job who reveres God. God allowed Satan to change his circumstances but not to touch his soul. Job’s fortunes did change. He lost everything, except himself and his faith in God. Job’s story is a powerful reminder for us that we are above our circumstances. You are the only person who can really define your life and your happiness: not your circumstances, not your fate.

Your life does not have to change when your circumstances change. They are beyond your control. But your response to these changes depends on you.

Reflection Question:
Are you just flowing or floating along the river of life? Swim against the tide. Remember, only dead things float along the river.

Lord, I thank You for the wonder of my being. Help me discover my uniqueness. Help me summon the strength I have as a child of God. Guide me as I chart my destiny to the best of my abilities, with the help of Your grace. Amen.

St. Elzear, pray for us.

Thanks to Fr. Joel O. Jason for this very inspiring story.

Vacation Plan

I had been prompted with some friends and acquaintances asking me when am I going for a vacation in my home country. A very good question, huh! If I can, I would say this coming Christmas because it is also our two decades high school homecoming. Sad to say, financial matters are absent at the moment. Another thing, I just went home for a three months vacation early this year plus a Europe tour last summer. That cost some fortune for us. lol! I would even book some Orlando vacation packages if I have a lot of money right now. For now, I am quite happy and contented with the trips and vacations that I had this year. We also always go for a short trip every weekend when possible. We will see if hubby’s vacation plan will materialized next year since he really want to see Philippines again. Good evening folks!

Gospel Reflection-Luke 9:46-50

It is not a matter of whether one is greater than another, but whether or not either or both are willing to obey God’s will. The focus of our lives should never be ourselves, and particularly not our importance. God has a plan for us that will work to our benefit if we do our bit. This is what we should focus on — hearing God’s will for our lives and following it.

Luke 9:46-50
46 An argument arose among the disciples about which of them was the greatest. 47 Jesus realized the intention of their hearts and took a child and placed it by his side 48 and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.” 49 Then John said in reply, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow in our company.” 50 Jesus said to him, “Do not prevent him, for whoever is not against you is for you.”

my reflections
t h i n k : God has a plan for us that will work to our benefit if we do our bit.
