Wonderful Life, a Beautiful Sharing

“ I will lead them out from among the peoples and gather them from the foreign lands; I will bring them back to their own country.” – Ezekiel 34:13

The foggy mountains and the blue skies were so close to each other that I imagined seeing God amidst the blue horizon, smiling with His outstretched arms, gently whispering to me of His unconditional love.

“My God, how awesome is Your creation!” I uttered as I watched the marvelous scenic spots we passed by in Bukidnon on the way to Cagayan de Oro. I wouldn’t be enjoying the beauty of God’s creation if He didn’t give me the gift of freedom as well. Moreover, I wouldn’t have the heart of Jesus if He didn’t let me pass through the Correctional Institute of Women (CIW) for 20 years.
As I reminisce on my stay in the CIW, my heart overflows in thanksgiving for what happened to me there. Mingling with people who came from all walks of life, has equipped me with people skills that are valuable in my job now as a sales person.

Indeed, the Lord’s ways are not our ways. While being locked in jail may seem to be a dead-end experience to many, God used it to mold me into His likeness. It was His way of taking me out of my sinfulness and bringing me back to His fold.

REFLECTION:
We must be sensitive to God’s calling and messages for us to know what He wants us to do for His greater glory.

Lord Jesus, please let me be holier each day so I will be sanctified the way You want me to be.

Special thanks to Beth Corral for this very inspiring and beautiful sharing.

Apple is Good

I always try to eat apples everyday. I have been doing this since a month now. I believed this will already be a part of my daily nourishment and I love it. I felt lighter when I eat this fruit. The fact that it has a lot of vitamins and minerals, it is also very good for the stomach. I mean, it is very easy to digest. I also love the apple bottoms that I see online. It is another kind of apple but I know for sure that most women will love it. Check it out if you want to know it. It is getting very late again. I have to slowly sign-off. I wish everyone a great evening. Don’t also forget to include apples in your diet. Good morning Europe!

The Cathedral in Bamberg, Germany

The Bamberg Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George (Bamberger Dom St. Peter und St. Georg) is known to be one of the famous architectural monuments in Germany. It is also the most famous landmark of the city of Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany. Emperor Henry II is the founder of the cathedral in 1004. It has a late Romanesque design with four imposing towers.

The cathedral is about 94 m long, 28 m broad, 26 m high, and the four towers are each about 81 m high. This was taken during our visit last Oct. 9, 2010.

The 5 Pros and Cons of Organic Food

The healthy lifestyles coming to everyone’s attention, purchasing organic food has become a regular habit for most diet-conscious individuals. Unfortunately, choosing organic does not always ensure optimum dietary requirements and quite often puts a significant punch in your final grocery bill. Below are the five common arguments both for and against purchasing organic fruits, vegetables and meats.

Cost

Pro: Although organic food has traditionally cost more than those using pesticides and herbicides in their cultivation, the price is becoming more competitive as demand has grown. Cost conscious organic consumers frequently attend local farmers’ markets or go directly to their area supplier where they can purchase organic foods that quantities for a discount.

Con: As soon as major food manufacturers realized that consumers would pay more for organic food, they began devoting much of their resources to producing organic food, but continued using the “factory-conditions” that exploit laborers and strain resources to keep their products competitive.

Quality

Pro: Food items that have not been overly processed and exposed to harmful chemicals or radiation naturally have less toxins and therefore allow the body to absorb more nutrients. Any food labeled as “organic” has to be approved by a rigorous set of Federal standards.

Con: Organic foods, especially produce, quite often has less “eye-appeal” than factory produced equivalents because it does have the protection afforded from decay during shipping by pesticides and irradiation. It is also worthy to note that many food contamination issues have come up around organic food such as spinach that is washed in unhealthy water, which is not regulated under current standards.

Nutritional value

Pro: Fresh organic food undoubtedly has superior nutritional benefits when eaten fresh and prepared properly. Raw food dishes, juicing and salads are greatly enhanced when organic ingredients are exclusively used.

Con: Despite the numerous studies conducted on the nutritional value of organic foods vs.those sprayed with chemicals, no hard data has to date been released that proves that organic food provide substantially greater nutrition than their equivalents. Of course this does not apply to foods that have been processed or altered from their original state.

Availability

Pro: Many organic foods are governed by the seasons, and consumers traditionally purchase quantities when they are available and store them for later use by preserving, pickling or salting. The spread of organic practices around the world have helped correct this problem sœurs popular items can be shipped in from areas they grow year-round. Personal organic gardens may yield enough produce to share with friends, neighbors and family members.

Con: Since organic foods are seasonal, many items can be impossible to find certain items at certain times of year that are available year-round through more commercial manufacturers. Organic distributors are also often at the mercy of international tariffs and taxes which limit their ability to compete with the larger companies.

Perishability

Pro: If fresh organic food is properly stored it can retain its nutritional value for a long time, such as carrots or potatoes stored in straw in the cellar over the winter. Highly perishable fruits and vegetables can be juiced, pureed or preserved for later use.

Con: Organic food does not “travel well” and can quickly deteriorate into a moldy mess since it does not contain preservatives and chemicals to stop the natural decay. Dairy items and meat with organic certification often have shorter expiration dates than their non-organic counterparts, once again because the preservatives expand their shelf life.

New Shopping Catalogues

We received new shopping catalogues again yesterday. These are most especially for winter season and Christmas. One catalogue contain house furnitures, appliances, bathroom accessories, home ideas and other more. The other one have items on special sales and offers. I would love to have new Egyptian cotton bath towels once our bathroom will be fixed next year. At least these new catalogues will give me some ideas on what to do about home styling. For now, I need to start a general cleaning because the house is getting messy again. It seems that I am always busy on a lot of things. I hope I can slowly fix and arrange everything this coming week. Happy Sunday to all! More updates in my other sites.

Inspiring Words

SO DOES HE LOVE US

We do not usually wonder why Jesus loves us so much. Instead, we expect Jesus to love us more than we deserve. Likewise, we do not question how Jesus can love us immensely. We usually think that Jesus can love us that much because He is God. But today, let us pause for a while and, perhaps even just for now, ask: How can Jesus love us so much when we are not deserving of His Love?

Jesus Himself answers our question. “As the Father loves Me,” He says, “so do I love you.” Jesus loves us because the Father has loved Him first. Jesus can love us so much because the Father loves Him so much, too. Jesus loves us as His Father loves Him, and the measure of His love for us is the same measure of His Father’s love for Him. His Father’s love for Him is like an inexhaustible well from which Jesus draws out His love for us.

If someone approaches you and asks you why and how can Jesus loves us so much, read the Gospel today to him.

This is also precisely why love can be commanded. Pope Benedict XVI said that love can be commanded because it has first been given. Jesus can command us to love one another because He has loved us first. Jesus loves us so that we may love others. Let us remain in this love.

Reflection Question:

Jesus loves me so that I may love others, too. Love is not a mere invitation to me. Love is a command. The true measure of love is love without measure.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving me more than I deserve and more than I know. Help me to love others as much as You love me. Jesus, love others through me. Amen.

St. Benedicta, pray for us.

Thanks to Fr. Bobby Titco for this very inspiring messages.

Food Supplements

Food supplement is also known as dietary supplement or nutritional supplement. These are supplements which contain vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fiber or fatty acids. These are consumed to supplement the missing nutrients in a person’s diet. There are a lot of dietary supplements in the market right now. How about hgh supplements? Did you hear about this one? HGH simply means human growth hormones. I am not really an expert about this topic but you can find a lot of information online which will help you answer your questions regarding this. I would also suggest that before taking any supplements, it is better to consult first your doctor.

Inspirational Reading- John 15:9-11

Today’s text reminds us to remain in the Father’s love. If we look at the Greek word used here for “remain,” namely menai, we will discover that the meaning is quite profound because it is really a call to “abide or live” in God. This indicates the depth of our dignity and identity as men and women created by God. We should never forget this lesson as we seek to live out our call as His disciples in today’s world.

John 15:9-11

9 Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.”

my reflections
think: We should always remember our dignity and identity as men and women created by God when we seek to live out our call as His disciples.

Apple For Dinner

Another Friday is here again. In short, it is another TGIF. I believed I will be having a busy weekend again. Some friends will be coming tomorrow. Thanks in advance to good friends for the help and accommodation. Back to the main topic. I can’t believed that I only ate two apples for dinner tonight. It seems that I am having good sources of all natural colon cleanse. Eating apple is very good for the body since it is full of vitamins and minerals. I forgot to mention that I also ate cucumber salad tonight. I am trying not to gain more weight this coming winter. For sure, I can’t go often walking during winter time because of the very cold weather outside. Unlike summer season where I can go for a walk anytime I want. I also believed that the best way for colon cleansing is eating more fruits and vegetables. Check out for more tips online.
