Little Treasures

Do you have treasures in life? I believed you do have one. We may define treasure in many ways. Treasure is defined as a concentration of riches. What are riches anyway? I believed you also have an idea about it. Some would say they have a lot of treasures because they owna vast of lands and they have a lot of money or maybe a big house or villa or a luxury car. Others may say they are rich because they own precious metals such a gold or silver like a Morgan silver dollar. I may defined treasure or riches in other way. I would say I am rich because I have a lot of treasures such as my family and friends and a wonderful husband. They are the things that truly make me happy and make my life complete. I  hope you too!

Daily Nourishment- James 2:1-9

There are no second-class citizens in the Kingdom of God. One of the beauties of the Gospel is precisely this truth – that salvation is achieved in exactly the same way for all men and women, namely through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This means that we cannot consider any one person better than another one. We are all equal in the eyes of God.

James 2:1-9

1 My brothers and sisters, show no partiality as you adhere to the faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. 2 For if a man with gold rings and in fine clothes comes into your assembly, and a poor person in shabby clothes also comes in, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say, “Sit here, please,” while you say to the poor one, “Stand there,” or “Sit at my feet,” 4 have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil designs? 5 Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters. Did not God choose those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him? 6 But you dishonored the poor. Are not the rich oppressing you? And do they themselves not haul you off to court? 7 Is it not they who blaspheme the noble name that was invoked over you? 8 However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Starting My Diet

I am starting all over again. This time I am quite serious with my diet plan. It’s been a week now since I started it. It does not mean that I am not eating meals because I am on diet. I am actually eating a lot of times in a day. The difference is, I am only eating a portion of my meal. Every 2 to 3 hours, I am munching either fruit or vegetables. I am not sure if I need testosterone supplement. I am still researching about this. I hope I can continue religiously my diet plan. I just need to lose the excess fat that I gained for almost a decade. My target is losing 15-20 kilos in a year. I just want to get back to my former weight, the first time I was in Europe. It is still not too late and I am trying to live a healthier life now. Wish me luck!

2012 Projects

The spring air is slowly coming. We are currently having a nice sunny weather. This is perfect for the first weekend of March. I hope you are having a good start of the month. I am happy and contented to have one.

Anyway, back to the main topic. There are still a lot of projects that are lining up in our list this year. Our garage/carport still needs to be done. We are currently searching for the best and most suitable floor for it. We also need a new kitchen furniture set. We also need a new laminate floor in the whole kitchen and dining area. Our bathroom also needs a full renovation. There are still a lot of projects and we need to see what is left on our budget so that we can plan accordingly. So far, the three I mentioned above are the most important ones for this year. We would like to start the flooring of the garage this spring time. It is quite a huge area with almost 60 square meters. It is actually a combined terrace and carport. We planned it like that so that we can also do some outdoor activities like parties or any celebration.

I wish you all a lovely weekend and a wonderful month of March.

Gospel Inspiration- Mark 8:27-33

We like hierarchies because they help us know where we stand. They can take out a lot of anxiety in our lives. There are always struggles for leadership in human organizations. Thank God that the Church is more than a human organization. Holy Spirit, help the Church to remain faithful to its calling to proclaim the Gospel and provide support and a sense of community for all disciples of Jesus.

Mark 8:27-33

27 Jesus and his disciples set out for the villages of Caesarea Philippi. Along the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” 28 They said in reply, “John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others one of the prophets.” 29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter said to him in reply, “You are the Christ.” 30 Then he warned them not to tell anyone about him. 31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days. 32 He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33 At this he turned around and, looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”

Friday Etcetera

Thanks God its Friday! I wonder why a lot of people always say this. I guess, it is because weekend is almost coming. For those who are working from Monday to Friday, this is their last day of work and they can finally relax or do some things during the weekend. In contrary, I am always thankful everyday. There are just a lot of things to be thankful of.

I am quite very busy today organizing things. Since the past two weeks, I already started to organize some things in the house. I also started sorting the clothes in my closets. I felt sad when I found a lot of small size clothing in my closets. I am also sad because I need more plus size dresses after gaining more weight again. I am afraid to explode soon and that is one of the reasons why I am trying to control my eating habits now. I want to lose at least 15 kilos and I am serious about this. For now, I just need to organize first some things in the house before I go for another trip again.

See you later folks. Time to prepare for dinner.

Daily Nourishment- James 1:19-27

God’s Word is life. Only a fool rejects it. There must be a lot of fools, or at least half-fools in the world. Why do people take some of the truth of the Gospel and not the whole thing? It is not logical. Either we believe God knows what He is doing when He directs our lives or we do not. We cannot believe it half the time and ignore it the rest of the times.

James 1:19-27

19 Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, 20 for anger does not accomplish the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. 22 Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. 24 He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts; such a one shall be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain. 27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

For My Sis

Its been quite a long time since I did not have a chat or a call with my sister back home. I also did not call to greet her on her birthday two weeks ago. Thanks to facebook that I was able to extend my greetings and wishes to her. Belated happy birthday dear sister. Don’t worry I already bought the silver jewelry that you asked from me last year. This will be my birthday present for you. Sad to say, I don’t want to mail it. I am afraid that it will be lost in transit. I will rather hand it to you personally once we go home for another vacation to the Philippines next year.

Lastly, I always wish you all the best of everything in all your plans, your future career, in your studies and most of all I wish you good health always, love, peace, contentment and happiness. Take care always and I love you!

Gospel Inspiration-Mark 3:31-35

This is an important truth – it is those who hear the Word of God and obey it that please God. Today is the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, a great apologist and evangelist for the Church at around the time of the Reformation, whose life reflected this truth in a wonderful way. He spent much time sitting and talking with the influential people of his time, convincing them to remain faithful to the Church. He wrote much about the love of God and inspired many through his life of love and service.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth; you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom.

Mark 3:31-35

31 The mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house. Standing outside they sent word to Jesus and called him. 32 A crowd seated around him told him, “Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.” 33 But he said to them in reply, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” 34 And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 35 For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

think: Those who hear the Word of God and obey it please God.

Medicine Box

Good evening everyone! Let me share you this before I sign-off for tonight. I am quite tired now after doing some organizing and cleaning today. Hopefully I will be done soon. Back to main topic..Where is our medication cart? I would mean a medicine box for this. Hubby was trying to find a band aid this evening. He got some cuts on his finger from work. I told him that there is one pack of it in our medicine box. Sometimes he just don’t see things inside the house. There are also some medicines inside it from pain relievers like paracetamol and ibuprofen to nose sprays, migraine tablets, burn creams, bandages and some other more. It is better to have some in the house especially during emergency.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend. For sure, it will be a busy weekend for me. Goodnight folks!
