For many holidaymakers, choosing a summer holiday usually means opting for a week or two in a single resort, maybe taking the odd day trip or hiring a car to drive around and see the sights. But with a cruise you’ll get to see not just one but several great destinations within the same amount of time – and you won’t have to worry about hire cars or finding public transport. It’s a great way of visiting many new and exciting places whilst still having the chance to kick back and relax.

But contrary to popular opinion, a week or two on a cruise ship needn’t break the bank. Thanks to increased competition between tour operators, many prices have been slashed and cruise deals abound in order to secure your custom – which is good news for holidaymakers, particularly if you’re thinking of trying a cruise for the first time. If that’s the case, it’s worth trying a mini cruise first to help you get the taste of life onboard. On mini cruises you’ll normally visit one main destination over two nights, often sailing from a UK port on a round trip. Despite the length you’ll still get to enjoy the full cruise experience and it’s a great way of introducing yourself to this unique style of holiday.
When choosing a cruise it’s always worth going with a reputable tour operator. Whether you’re after a week in the Mediterranean, a fortnight’s trip around the Caribbean or a short break on a mini cruise Thomas Cook has a wide range of options on offer to suit every taste and budget. Having teamed up with numerous cruise operators to expand its portfolio, you’ll find plenty of cruise options and exciting itineraries to suit budget-conscious families, romantic couples and just about everyone in-between.

I always hear these music instruments from time to time. When not in Television, I also hear it over the radio, in a carnival, shows or in the internet. I love the sounds of trumpets and guitars. It just fascinates me especially when I hear people playing these instruments during mass in the church. I am just hoping that one day, I can hear a kurzweil guitar being played. I guess this kind of guitar produces very good sound and music. Have you heard it already?

Jesus is risen from the dead! Now, you can choose to believe this or not but whatever you choose is not going to change the fact that it is true. We can choose to live in denial of the truth but truth is not affected by our stubborness and sin. Thus, as we celebrate the Easter, we can choose to appropriate Jesus’ victory and enter into the gift of new life, or we can stay enmeshed in our sin. The glory and joy of the resurrection as opposed to the muck and filth of sin. Not much of a choice, is it? Let us make the sensible choice and choose the life God offers us over the death that sin imposes on us.
Mark 16:1-7
1 When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go and anoint him. 2 Very early when the sun had risen, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb. 3 They were saying to one another, “Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” 4 When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. 5 On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. 6 He said to them, “Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him. 7 But go and tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.’ ”
think: We can choose to enter into the gift of new life or stay enmired in our sin. Let us make the sensible choice. http://www.kerygmafamily.com

I had a conversation with hubby while we were eating our dinner last night. He was watching the pictures of our house in my home country and was telling me that he really wants to retire there. It might take around a decade maybe before we can live there. I also mentioned to him that if ever we will buy a kind of transportation when living there, I wanted a pick-up with one of those Hitchdepotusa trailer hitches. I told him that we need such kind of transportation if ever there are bigger things such as appliances or furniture that needs to be transported. We will see and make the final decision when we will be there in ten years maybe.
It was so far a nice conversation I had with hubby last night. Goodnight folks and have a lovely week!

St. Paul invites us to understand the Sacrament of Baptism as the entry point into the death and resurrection of Jesus. As we celebrate the Easter mysteries, let us hear this call to enter fully into the Easter experience of Jesus, namely His death and resurrection. This is an invitation to die to sin through the death of Jesus and then to rise with Him in His resurrection to new life. This is what the Sacrament of Baptism is. We have died to sin with Jesus on the cross but it does not end with the death of sin. We then move into receiving the gift of new life from Him as He is raised from the dead by the glory of His Father.
Romans 6:3-11
3 Brothers and sisters: Are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life. 5 For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his, we shall also be united with him in the resurrection. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be done away with, that we might no longer be in slavery to sin. 7 For a dead person has been absolved from sin. 8 If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more; death no longer has power over him. 10 As to his death, he died to sin once and for all; as to his life, he lives for God. 11 Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus. http://www.kerygmafamily.com

I use to play this game since school days. Playing puzzles was one of my past time during those times. I was even good in playing it back in high school and college. I don’t play puzzles nowadays. I am thinking again of buying this game since I believed that it is a good exercise for the brain. It is like writing and speaking English. If I am not writing English in my blogs, I guess I already forgot simple sentence and right grammar. I am not an expert on this language since English is not really my mother tongue. At least, I am very thankful that I can still built English sentences. I guess I want to go back playing puzzles again.

How would we react if our best friend and mentor died (and we saw the body) and then he appeared to us risen from the dead? We would be at least a little bit disturbed or psyched out. It is almost impossible to imagine how the disciples of Jesus must have felt when they met with the Risen Jesus. Let us reflect on this reality today and ask for the grace to understand a little better the power at work in the resurrection.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION:
This is the day the Lord has made; let us all be glad and rejoice in it.
Luke 24:35-48
35 The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place on the way, and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of the bread. 36 While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 37 But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. 38 Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? 39 Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.” 40 And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of baked fish; 43 he took it and ate it in front of them. 44 He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day 47 and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.”
think: Trouble will never be far away from us if we allow ourselves to receive credit for the work of God. This is the worst kind of hubris imaginable.

Another weekend of April is almost ending and it seems that half of the month is almost over also. Time truly flies-by so fast. I have a lot of plans and wishes this year and I hope that some will come true. If all, it would be great! One of it is losing my excess pounds. If possible I want to lose fifteen to twenty kilos. That is why I also read some slimvox reviews last time to be informed of proper ways of losing weight. The other day, I checked my weight and I was 72 kilos. When I came back from a 3 weeks trip from Spain, I was 74 kilos. It means that I lose 2 kilos already. I hope this will continue until I get my previous weight 9 years ago. I am working on it!

The author of this letter knows the depth of the meaning of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. He knows its effect and wants to share this with all who will listen. The greatest challenge here is getting people to take the time to listen and reflect. In an age of busyness this is a big task. The only person we can control in this regard is ourself. This Easter let us reflect carefully on the mysteries we celebrate.
Hebrews 4:14-16; 5:7-9
14 Brothers and sisters: Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. 16 So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help. 5: 7 In the days when Christ was in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered; 9 and when he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
