The Salzburg Cathedral

Visiting one of the loveliest city in Europe and maybe in the world is a great experience. I had a wonderful time visiting again Salzburg for the fourth time. One of the sights we visited was the Salzburg Cathedral. It is a Roman Catholic Cathedral with Baroque architecture, dedicated to Saint Rupert of Salzburg.

The Facade of the Salzburg Cathedral in Austria during our visit last May 20, 2012.

The first cathedral was built under Saint Vergilius of Salzburg, who might have used foundations by St. Rupert. The first Dom was recorded in 774. The so-called Virgil Dom was built from 767 to 774 and was 66 metres long and 33 metres wide.

How to Bag a Cruise Bargain

Whether you’re a cruise regular with plenty of superb itineraries under your belt, or you’re looking to spend your first holiday onboard, the sheer range of cruises and schedules available means it’s becoming more and more accessible to budgets of all sizes.

This style of holiday is usually considered excellent value for money – as package cruises include not just the flight and cabin accommodation, but all of your meals, entertainment and use of the facilities too. On top of this, it’s possible to find cruise deals across many itineraries – from trips around the Mediterranean and the Fjords right up to 18-night Caribbean jaunts.

If you’re looking for a great bargain on a cruise this year, you shouldn’t have to look too hard. 2012 cruise deals are available on a vast range of ships and cruise operators, so whatever you fancy, the chances are you’ll find it – with a discount.

One of the best ways to bag a discount is to book early and secure your seats as soon as the brochure or a new season is launched. Tour operators are often keen to push their new range of itineraries with incentives to encourage your custom, so look out for early bird booking discounts both in the shops and online. In many cases you will benefit from a standard online booking discount so weigh this up against the high street prices to see which is cheaper.

If you’re planning to book in a shop through a recognised tour operator, you will have the advantage of dealing with a salesperson, so don’t be afraid to ask for discounts or upgrades on your cabin, or on onboard drinks packages. If you’re on the verge of booking they will usually throw in some little extras or additional reductions to help secure your custom.

Facial Cream

Hello folks! It seems that our weather is not so friendly now. We are currently having sunshine outside but it is quite cold. You can’t stay outside without wearing warm clothes. I hope that the weather will get nicer soon.

Back to main topic now. I am thankful now because the acne on my face are slowly healing. I don’t know exactly what is the cause of it. I guess I need to find a better facial cream or maybe an oil free moisturizer. I want to visit the dermatologist but I don’t have much time this week. We have been busy with some home projects. I still have other problem now. I need to get rid of the scars left by acne on my face. I guess I rather make an appointment with a skin expert, the dermatologist.

Keep warm in this chilly weather in Germany.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I would like to greet all Mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day!
Special greetings to my dearest and beloved Mother.
Thanks a million Mama for bringing me and your other children  into this world!
You are truly a hero for bearing and nurturing a dozen children.
I always wish you and all Mothers around the world
good health always, love, peace and happiness!

Thank you so much for everything!

You are the greatest  heroes of all times!
God bless you all!

The real religion of the world comes from women
much more than from men –
from mothers most of all,
who carry the key of our souls in their bosoms.

~Oliver Wendell Holmes.

So Sad

I am quite sad today. When I look at our bank statement, there was a huge amount that was deducted from it. It surprised me because for the first time, I had a cellphone bill for over 200.00 Euros. I felt like throwing my cellphone this afternoon but it won’t help anyway. I just took it as a lesson now. I called the cellphone company why the phone bill was so big. The customer service said that it might be because I used it in the internet. I never use my phone for internet because I know that I will pay extra for it. I remember that I only downloaded some software updates for the cellphone and now I regret doing it. I should never do that. That amount can already buy one of those rs5000 series shock absorbers for a friend’s car. I was truly disappointed but what can I do now. Lessons learned, never ever update my cellphone again especially if I am not really using it for internet. Besides, it is only a monetary lost. I can still find it!

Carport/Terrace Almost Done

Our old home still needs a lot of repair and improvements. We are glad that paying mortgage on it is over since 2010. It means that it is already fully paid. We are trying now to renovate it once in awhile, when there is extra budget. For now, we are working on our carport and terrace. We rented last year a leveling feet from our neighbor who owns a construction company. Last Monday, we already paint it. We still have to wait for the flooring which we already ordered. Before, summer comes, I hope that everything will be done. I can’t wait for it.

Hello April, Goodbye May!

April is over and we are entering now the second month of the second quarter of the year 2012.  We are already on the first day of May. I would say,  April  has been a  great month for me and also to my family. I am thankful for all the opportunities and blessings  I received last month. Most especially, I am very thankful to God for giving me and my family good health always. This is one of the most important thing for me.

I just hope and pray that May will be another challenging  month,  full of blessings  again. I just can’t thank God enough for all the good things He  has done for us,  the graces He  has showered to us every day  and all the beautiful things  He created for us. Thank you Lord especially for the gift of life.

GOD IS GREAT,  ALL THE TIME!

Spotlight On: Holidays to Majorca

Holidays to Majorca have long been a favourite for UK travellers. Whether you are visiting the island with family, friends or as a couple, Majorca is the cheeky Balearic escape that can please even the fussiest holiday maker.

All Inclusive Packages are available throughout most Majorcan resorts, however, should you enjoy eating out and exploring the local restaurants, many complexes also offer self catering or half board options.

Tourists choose to stay in Majorca due to its reliable summer sunshine. Temperatures in peak season can hit 30 degrees C. Those travelling with very young tots would benefit from visiting slightly out of season when the weather will be kinder on delicate skin.

Beach lovers will find Majorca to be a sand sensation. The island has been awarded over 40 Blue Flags for its beaches, meaning wherever you choose to stay you aren’t far from a truly beautiful beach.

Cala d’Or has some of the most secluded sandy shores for those who like to relax further away from the bustle of resorts such as Palma Nova. The area is excellent for evening entertainment too, meaning that if you do choose to stay in the area your days and nights are all under control.

The real party rockers of Majorca can be found in any of the many bars, clubs and pubs that line the streets of Magaluf. From quirky cocktail bars to multi-level nightclubs and foam parties, hardcore party people will love Magaluf’s vivacious nightlife.

Children of all ages will love Majorca’s family attractions. From the waterparks of Magaluf to the wildlife reserves of Alcudia, the island is filled with days out to keep even the most restless of broods entertained.

Search online for great deals on all inclusive packages on holidays to Majorca. Flying times to Majorca are under three hours from most major airports throughout the UK.

Bargain Breaks: How to Find Great Holiday Deals

Purse strings are tight for many this year, so holidays have to be well priced and offer good value for money. If you’re looking for cheap holiday deals there are several ways to make sure that your budget stretches as far as it can, including:

Booking Late

Last minute holiday deals can offer great value for those who don’t have a specific hotel or resort in mind.

If the world is your oyster, it can pay to wait until the last minute to book your trip. Many popular holiday destinations offer late availability breaks.

The Balearics, including Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza, are only a short flight away, meaning that you can be by the pool within just a few short hours, thereby maximising your holiday.

The Canary Islands are also a popular choice of destination, combining great beaches with some stunning volcanic scenery and great attractions of both the man-made and the natural kind.

Booking Early

Booking your holiday as early as possible could see you benefiting from some great savings, and is a good option if you have a specific destination in mind.

Make sure that you get the best deals on further flung destinations like Mexico, Cuba and Egypt, so that you can enjoy amazing weather and exotic locations for less.

All Inclusive

Booking all inclusive packages can be a good way to ensure that you keep within a tight holiday budget as all of the essentials will be included in the up front price. There are some fantastic hotels to choose from if you decide to go all inclusive for hassle-free holidays.

Those on a tight budget will find several ways to bring the cost of a summer holiday down. Simply choose the best deal to suit you and relax on holiday with the peace of mind that your week in the sun hasn’t broken the bank.
