Inspiring Story
This is a very inspiring story for me. In fact, I was strucked with it because I am acting it sometimes especially if I lost my patient and control. Forgive me God for all my flaws, shortcomings and mistakes. Please continue reading the story. I got this story from a subscribed email from Kyregma. Feel free to visit their site in www.Kyregma.com
WITNESS
Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. – 1 Chronicles 29:10
I don’t know what came over me. I’ve never lost my temper like that. Worse, it happened in public. It was early and the mall was still closed. I waved to a security guard through the locked door but I felt he intentionally didn’t mind me. I felt offended. On impulse, I banged on the door and shouted at him. He pointed to the opposite entrance. There, I gave him a piece of my mind. Loudly. I came down on him hard. At first, he defended himself. Then he started apologizing. But I didn’t stop. After a few seconds, my companion held my hand to calm me down. He said, “Bro, he apologized already.” When I finally cooled down, I turned around and saw a large crowd of silent people… with their jaws half dropped.
Although I felt I was in the right, I admit I let my anger and pride take over me. That was wrong. Later, I went back to apologize to the guard but his shift had ended. I lost the opportunity to say sorry. I pray for the grace to always glorify God through my words, thoughts, and most importantly, my actions — because that’s mostly what people will remember.George Gabriel
REFLECTION:
Is God glorified through how I conduct myself in public?
Help me, Lord, to walk the talk.
