View down the nave into the Choir inside St. Bartholomaeus Cathedral in Frankfurt. Since the 18th century it received the honorary title of Kaiserdom or Imperial Cathedral in English. Imperial cathedral because the German Kings were elected here from 1152 onwards and from 1562 crowned as well.
